The route along the A13 is what I call the badlands.

Its sandwiched between former industrial sites, container jungles and a mess of electricity pylons. The road leads through South Essex right up to Lea-on-Sea and Southend. Both places that were holiday locations from the east end of London and we went there many times.

These were taken through the windscreen of a car on a wet grey day, which seemed to be the perfect way to capture abstract and nothingness landscape, which I find both ugly and attractive at the same time.
